They are here !!! I am sure Toffee is more grateful than I am. It was a very long night. No real problems just a long Start. Three Beautiful healthy Babys. 2 males Black and white Parti (Basil) , and Cream Sable Parti (Bernard) who will stay with us, Perfect Blazes and good Color Markings. 1 Girl Black with white (Bernadette).
In loving memory of Bernadette Rip 02/15/2008 Bernadette was not a strong puppy from Birth . She just faded until I began tube feeding. Though she gained weight and seem to be thriving. She finally succumbed to Renal Failure. I become very attached to my two hour babies, (how often they are fed) Almost always they pass on. The Vets can not determine whether the kidney issue is induced by dehydration or a birth defect. BUT I always keep trying !! I am exhausted.... emotionally and physically. On a better note Basil too was not doing well with nursing after a few days of supplement feedings he was back to strong healthy nursing and is doing Great !!!
